At least for cookies in memory.

Your SessionID is stored in a Cookie. For Sessions Variables to work,
cookies must be enabled.

Are you positive about this and that it is same for cookies.

I have previously confirmed you observations.

It is really more per process.

If you launch IE a new process shows up in Task Manager.

With Ctrl + N no new process is created.

This also has bearing on cookies.

I am using one session variable on my site. The problem I have is when they
press Ctrl + N to open a new window it does not give them a new session Id
but if they launch IE and then go to site it is okay.

Does anybody know if there is anything I can do so that they always get a
unique session id.
