I'm curious, how are you converting the .doc files to pdf??

We put up this system where when the user stores files on our servers they
have the option of converting .rtf and .doc files to pdf. This works ok,
but the system is a little quirky and right now is #1 on our Top Ten Things
That Are Most Likely To Crash For No Particular Reason list. That issue got
me thinking about other "universal" file formats that we could convert files
to, HTML being the most obvious. I figure it wouldn't be all that hard to
convert .doc's and make them nice and pretty, but I couldn't think of
anything for the rtf's.
