It does(did) it with both, I discovered it was IIS lockdown tool
preventing the transport of .exe's too and from the server.

Probably not the right place for this, but here goes..
I've got a really annoying problem with IIS. It won't serve exe's or
zip's. If you navigate to the directory where the exe is(with directory
browsing enabled), you can see the file, but when you click on it, it
page cannot be displayed. I'm wondering if it's yet another security
from MS that knackers IIS. Has anyone else heard of/experienced this
problem before. Just for the record, there's no AV or proxy running.
