sql_language thread: Is there any expression I can execute a statements according to input parameters?

 Kelly your example is very good for for the topic it is impressive. 

I have this bee in my bonnet about hard coding. Hence this talk of map tables. The point is of course that inevitable when you
hardcode values someone will come along and add delete rediffine etc. The idea is that the code is a shell the variable elements are
table entries.

Roland,

You were right on the money. The code that went into production has the '30%' as the last case
evaluated. JCB cards are correctly identified even when they begin with '30'. :)
