This sounds like a good book for "Database Design and Application Development" taught at the Community college Level.

Table of contents looks interesting and covers the topics. Has anyone applied the examples using Personal Oracle 10g?

I usedAny examples would have been tested on Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition. There is no reason why Personal Oracle10g would not function assuming the latest version is used, and no add-on options are used. Many add-on options are not available in Personal Oracle.
