Default Upgradation of Kernel

Dear,

I need to upgrade my kernel which is supplied alongwith the book. Also I need a driver for my soft USB Modem.

Can you help!

If you need to recompile your kernel:

Otherwise, if you just need to use the latest fedora kernel maybe try:
http://www.alephnull.com/fc1-to-fc3.html

Because you didn't specify the model number for your mode, I can only point you to fairly vague advice:
