Default Detect Screen Resolution with Browser

Hello
Not familar with Javascipt.

I am looking for a way to detect what the user's screen resolution is so then I can load the different version of website like 800x600 and a different version for 1280x1024. Please reply with script to detect and load depending on the the screen resolution.

 Thank you.

It is generally considered a bad practice to do this.

Why not design your pages to work on all resolutions?
