Default How to figure out an error

I'm New here, but not so new at HTML, But need alot more learnin!
Don't know about Java script.
I tried to use an online window Pop up maker and it has an error.
Unterminated string constant
When I go to line number it says This is what I see: minus the start tag
*BODY onLoad="javascript:popUp('<A href=http://da da da.com/go/p target="_blank"><img src="http://ads.da da da.com/banners/ff/ibis/ff_600x400_01.jpg" WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=400 BORDER=0></A>')"> I see that that looks outa place. So how do I correct this? What does it mean?

Why does that look incorrect; that matches up with the end strings... It might be the inner " within the ' which are within the ", but I'm not sure.

Well, it may be with the function, I'm not sure why HTML code is being passed in...
