Default Chapter 3 sample not loading

Chapter 3 - Installing the VB sample app.
Each time I attempt to load this sample project solution the "TestProject1" refuses to load, with an error:
"the project type is not supported by this installation"

Anyone else seen this, and / or know a way round this problem.

Many thanks

PS: I brought this book because although the samples are in VB it states on page xxvi that the c# sample code is available for download, this is not the case for most chapters, when are the samples to be completed for c#

In fact, I like the book very much, but I think it is somehow unprofessional from wrox to deploy samples with errors like TestProject1 in Chapter 3 solution. I really expected the C# samples, but ok, I will go with the VB ones. On my opinion the TestProject1 is not needed, as long as the AdoNetPro project is working well, I guess that we will have to fix it by writing out own test projects, which is not a bad experience :)

Don't get me wrong, I agree this is a very good book!

As I'm working thorough it I'm converting / writing my own c# samples based on the VB code and the documentation in the book.

I was really just pointing out that the first sample VB app I attempted to run did not load / work from the box, and being a c# developer having to rack the bottom of my brain for the syntax of VB it would have been nice to be able to step through the code and see what was happening.

O well, I hope I have not put anyone of this very good read and reference book, to illustrate the point we have just brought another copy for the office so as to always have a copy at hand.

Regards
John

I have to agree about the lack of professionalism, and the lack of quality.

Also to be considered here is the lack of feedback from wrox.

Is it wrox policy to produce a book and then leave their customers high and dry?

Include information on how to load and use the code and provide any fixes required.

I just downloaded the code today 3-May-2006, so if there is a problem with the code it should have been fixed by now.

I must agree with the above comments. As a person who is attempting to migrate from the VB6 world into the C# world (as my new job demands), I am disappointed that C# code is not included for all chapters as the book declares. This is the 5th WROX book I have purchased over the years, and the most disappointing from a promises made, promises broken aspect.

The WROX group and the authors should be addressing our issue with some sort of comments.
