Default password hash keys

Can someone please explain the upgrade from 2.x to 4.x
I tried using the book but not clear with the hash key thing

I found no such hashkeys in the2.x install I am trying to upgrade

There is no keys in 2.x, the framework will handle this for you, no need to worry. You only need to be concerned with the keys when upgrading a version dotnetnuke 3.x or later.
