Default problem installing WSAD from CD

Hello,

I recently purchased "Professional IBM Websphere 5.0 Application Server" which comes with a CD containing an evaluation copy of Websphere Studio (among other things). Many of the chapters use Studio for their examples and tutorials.

When I try to install the WSAD from the CD, the setup program gets to a point where it asks me to "Please insert the disk." But the disk is already inserted. Inserting the 2nd of 2 CDs does not work. Taking out and reinserting the same CD does not work either. Copying the contents of the CD to a temporary directory and trying to install from there does not work either (for a different reason).

The only solution is to CANCEL the setup operation.

Can anyone help? Assuredly I'm not the only one who's had this problem?

I'm trying to install on a laptop running Windows XP Professional.

Default

I had the same problem. This solved it for me.

Copy both CD to a folder, for example: [C:\temp_wsad]

Choose to overwrite existing folders if exist

Run [WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.msi] that should be located in the folder [C:\temp_wsad\IBM_WS_Application_Developer]

Good luck!
