Default Text Box

Ok, I have the properties for the text box set to expand to show all text. Why, if there is nothing in the text box, is it printing on the next line instead of on the same line with the heading?

List store numbers: instead of printing here
the text box printing here

regardless if it populated or not. Is there anything I can do about that?

And no, the text box does not even come close to reaching the print margin, sorry forgot that with the actual question.
