Default Datasheet View

I have a problem.. I have an infopath document library that has some columns showing number fields. Although the fields in the form are set to 2 decimals in the library they show more. So I opened the site in Frontpage and converted the view to an XSLT view so that I could format the columns.

And now I've discovered that as a result you cannot edit in a datasheet mode. Nor can I export to excel! And reverting it back to a Sharepoint list view resets the formatting. What's going on?
