I would like to follow Chapter 15 Warehouse Data Load without manually building the backend but am not sure what to do with the download code. Specifically I am not familiar with .dim_, .dimcr_, .dimtree_ and .dimprop_ files and how to use them. I thought the download files would be sql scripts and the like. Thanks

When you download the Northwind DW file, make sure that you don't further unzip the embedded cab file "4419NorthwindDW.CAB" from downloaded zip file. After you extract the 4419NorthwindDW.CAB file, use Microsoft Analsis Services to restore the Northwind DW from the 4419NorthwindDW.CAB file. However, the problem I have with Chap 15 is the lack of downloadable source tables SQL DDL used by the Northwind DW example in Analysis Services. Furthermore, I also encountered problems with openning all 4 DTS packages.
