Default Passing Output Parm From St Proc to DTS Package

I'm trying to pass a output parameter from a Stored Proc to an "Excute SQL Task" or "Active X Task." I'm having trouble reading in the output parameter to either of these tasks. Any suggestions on how to get this to work, or a better way to do this?
