Default UML 2.0 Tool for Visual Studio

Visual Paradigm is pleased to announce the release of Smart Development Environment 2.1 for Visual Studio.NET (SDE-VS), a powerful UML add-in for VS.NET. The tool supports latest UML diagrams and notations, and provide round-trip code generation and reverse engineering support for .NET languages includes C++, C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET. The latest release of SDE-VS features numerous new features and enhancement over the previous version, such as more extensive UML 2.0 coverage, enhanced Sequence Diagram and new freehand connector style (curve).

In SDE-VS 2.1, UML 2.0 support is enhanced to cover new UML model, notation and diagrams more extensively, which includes Interaction Overview Diagram, Timing Diagram, Composite Structure Diagram, Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram, ActivityPartition (Swimlane) ,Action, Exception Handler, Timing Frame, Port and many more. For Sequence Diagram, it is not only enhanced to support UML 2.0 notation, it is also improved in diagramming features and usability so that it is easier to use and more reliable than ever before.

Beside the rectilinear and oblique connector style, SDE-VS 2.1 adds the freehand connector style (curve) which makes it a lot easier to route connectors in a complex diagram.
