Default Ch 9&10 - Error Handling &Using XML in VB.NET Resp

Hello,

Ch 9&10 - Error Handling &Using XML in VB.NET respectively is quite confused to understand.

These two chapters are not explained properly, it difficult to understand novices. These chapters have to be explained as previous chapter done.

Please implement this in next editions.

Thanks and regards
Umesh

Umesh,

I agree with you. I made it through Chapters 9 and 10, but found the subject matter not very well organized. In particular, Chapter 10 rambles while discussing fairly deep subject matter. I think it would be helpful to break each chapter into a series of clearly identified topics explained by numbered examples. The numbering of the examples should cross-reference to the code downloads. That way, it would be much easier to find the code for the particular topic being studied.

For example, while working through the chapters, I created a folder hierarchy for each topic covered. For example:

\Chapter 10
   \Example 01 XML Serialization
   \Example 02 XML De-serialization
\Example 03 Source Code Style Attributes

The existing folder hierarchy in the code download is particularly irritating, in that one has to fish through several layers of folders, search for a topic that may or may not match up with a paragraph header in the book, and then hope to extract the correct files.

Maybe this will make for an easier study next time.
