Default Chapter 2 problem

Hello, I just downloaded and installed VB2005 Express from Microsoft today and picked up a copy of your book at my local borders. I downloaded the zip file from this website with the code samples and extracted them just fine. I am on the 'Try It Out' on page 26. On step 4 after I click through all the pages of the wizard and it starts the conversion I almost immediately get an error box with the message:

Unexpected exception occured during upgrade engine operation: Not able to bind to the source (exception from HRESULT:0x8004000A(OLE_E_CANT_BINDTOSOURCE))

I was just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if there is anything I can do to move forward. Thank you!

I have the same problem. I have uninstalled and resinstalled VB 2005 Express 3 times. I also tried the command line version of vbupgrade and there I get the message:

Upgrading engine not registered. Please run setup again.

I did this and I also registered all the dll components manually using RegAsm.exe but still nothing.

I have run out of ideas and this particular message is nowhere to be found in microsoft.com or godotnet.com

Chris
