I have to say that I'm very disappointed so far with this book. I bought it to use to teach my daughter some programming... and when the instructions in the book don't work it's rather offputting. We've got as far as chapter 2 and I'm seriously thinking of stopping here before she gives up - I've spent more time searching the web for answers as to why things don't work than actually coding with her.
Can anyone recommend a decent book for learning
VB ? One where the examples actually work, and don't omit to tell you things like you have to set it not to overwrite the database each time you rebuild the app, or where the properties described actually exist in the sample project ?
Nothing in this book functions!
