refreshing external js file

I have a framed site where I dynamically assign an external js file. So when my index.html loads, based upon varying scenarios, different js files could be attached. Within the site, I reference variables from an array in the js file. Here is my problem...items in the array get pulled from a unix box. So when the index.html page loads it dynamically fills the array. I have a page that allows for the changing of those fields on the unix box. So the user makes the changes then I show them the results of their changes. The problem I am having is that the user can make a change from yes to no for example and the results page still says yes because the js file that pulls the info is still in memory. The only way I have been able to get it to show the proper value is to totally reload the index.html page.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can fix this?

try something like http://www.codehouse.com/javascript/articles/external/ and then see if you can refresh the link ?
