special characters

How will you remove special characters from a text? What if my user just copies the text from a web page and then pastes it on a text area? Will special characters/invisible html tags get copied also? If so, how do you remove these special characters/invisible html tags?

Thanks!

You can use replace function to replace the invalid charecters from the text.

HTML tags will not get added in the textarea.

You can use javascript for this by doing this that if the text is equal to alphabets from a to z and numbers then display othr wise not
