Disaster Recovery
Okay so I wanted to copy some stored procedures from one db to another db within SQL server 2k. I did manage to copy the procs but in the process I wiped out all of the data in a few tables. The structure is still there but the data is gone! Is there a way to roll back the transaction to get the data from the tables back? I don't do any regular backups like I should but this only happened an hour ago and there are no other transactions going on on this server right now.

I see on a lot of other websites that sql server data can be recovered from transaction logs but nodoby says HOW to do it.

Any suggestions?

Try looking into Lumigent's log explorer. You can download a free trial from:

Yeah, I heard about that. Unfortunately, the trial version only lets you connect to the Northwind and Pubs dbs. That isn't going to be much help to me at this point.
Also they utilize that extremely annoying caviat where they won't tell you the price of their product. They offer a single license that runs on one machine, so what is the big deal with just listing the price on the website? Instead I have to have 'one of our sales associates' contact me. I'm sorry, but that is bull.
