Programming Exercises [Beginning VB .NET]

Does anyone know where I could find hands-on programming exercises to accompany the chapter in Beginning VB. NET? I'm not talking about the end of chapter questions that are in the book; I'm talking about something more along the lines of "Design and create a program that will ..." [using, of course, concepts presented in the chapter]....Perhaps there's a college course using the book, whose instructor posted assignments on the web?

Of course, if you're looking for suggestions for future editions (or to add on line), you can probably guess what I'd like to see added. :)

Thanks in advance -- Al C.

Al,

Your suggestion has been received and will be introduced in the next edition of this book that we are currently working on. Thanks for the great feedback!

Also, I'm not aware of anyone who has created a set of hands on exercises for the existing editions of this book.

Could always be a case of adapting the examples that you work through too - there have been a couple of the examples as I've worked through it that I thought "ooh, wouldn't it now be good to.." etc..

One of these was the text editor example - even little do-it-yourself addons like perhaps making on the selected text change to red or a different font.

This way you could quite easily give additional answers at the back that follow on from the original example.

Only my 2 cents worth :)

Rob
