Create MySQL database

Hello everybody,

I am just a new learner about MySQL.
Could anybody tell me how to create MySQL database?
I have read a book "Beginning PHP, Apache, MySQL Web Development" but I really got confused.
Do we create MySQL database in PHP script or we have to create MySQL database by using command prompt? If so, just show me HOW and WHERE
Thank you very much.
new learner.

Thank you very much, Gotaka4.
Now I know
mysql> create database test2
(test2 is the name of database)

I can check it by using command
mysql> show databases;

But I wondered if I can create a database, I can also delete/remove a database. I did not see that when I linked to the web that Gotaka4 gave me.
Could anybody show me how to delete/remove a databse ?

Thank you very much. I appreciate.

use the command DROP

so to delete a database named "Events" you write:

DROP DATABASE Events

Here is something that might be worth a review;
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/index.html

I found that while quite large and laden with good stuff the answers you seek should be here.

My suggestion is you read MySQL manual either online ( with useful user-submitted notes ) or offline ( downloaded ). Cheers.
