TSR in Visual Basic

Hi all,

I have a client requirement as follows:

1) This is an external Application from which I have to extract the data and transfer it to an MS-Access Database. The application is a Financial Tool like Tally package etc.
2) No external libraries or any DLLs to be used
3) The Client will provide only 1GB of memory and my program should run only in the specified memory address space.

I think TSR program is the only way to solve out all these problems. If not so, then please tell me any other way to satisfy this client requirement. Please help me I have an urgent requirement.

Thanks

Bye.

hi there..

and what is your problem??

a TSR program is not necesary.. can be any normal program.. the problem with this is: how will you control the memory address space with VB???

and what 'no external dll should be used' means? In that case you can't just use VB, because VB needs at least the vb runtime library, so that leaves only straight C language (using only the standard i/o) How you transfer data to/from an access database without using "any" library sounds a bit extreme to me...
As for the memeory managment, 1GB is not a problem. But if your app must run in a "specified memory" space (BTW in which kind of computer/operative system wil run), well I do not see how you can do it in Windows!
