visual studio for ms office
I know that I asked this before, but could someone refresh my memory, please!

I've got a commercial Access MDB that I'm going to market. I need to package it into an executable with the Access runtime.

I understand that the Visual Studio or developers kit or both will allow me to do this. I'm about 10 days from completion of final testing.

Can anyone tell me exactly what I need?

If I need the developers toolkit AND visual studio or just studio.

I'd really appreciate any help.

When you talk about Visual Studio it sounds like you're ready to deploy an Access 2003 application. Visual Studio Tools for the Office System was built for that.

What you need most is...

And this tells you how to purchase it...

And if that isn't enough, here's a blurb with some links...

Also here http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/ it appears that they're ready to sign people up for the 2005 Beta.

Of course VSTO isn't the only route to take for building a package. And, these tools don't solve all of the problems with deploying applications, particularly if you're using custom ActiveX controls. But they are helpful and VSTO does give you the license to package and distribute the 2003 Access Run-time.
