Software to align HTML code

Hello,

I am redeveloping a website and the code/html tags are very poorly maintained by previous coder. Is there any javascript or program which scan an html or an asp page and align all the html tags within that page.

Example:

<table>
<tr><td>
</td>
</tr></table

After executing that software/ program, the code should look something similar to below:

 <table>
     <tr>
    <td></td>
     </tr>
 </table>

Someone told me that the Dreamweaver MX has the option to fix the alignment. Is that true? if yes, please tell me how to do it with dreamweaver.

Thank you,
Zeeshan Ahmed

Yes, that's available in Dreamweaver. Choose Commands | Apply Source formatting or Commands | Apply Source formatting to selection.
