Transferring Import Specifications

Hello,

I have been asked to find out about Import Specifications in Access 97. What I need to find out it if is possible to copy and import specifications from one database to another.

Many Thanks

Hi Tim,

Beth Moffitt hit this one recently a few posts back. She addressed a 97 to XP import, but I figure her suggestions will work for you to. Beth's comments are:

Quote:

quote: I am assuming that when you use this import spec, it imports into a table in your database. In your XP database database, go to import the 'table' from your 97 database and when you get the dialogue box for selection of the items, select the table and also clic the Options button. This will open a drop down where you can select Import/Export Specs. After selecting OK, your import specs should be in the new database.

HTH,

Beth

Hey Bob,

Next time you quote me (like I'll really have anything to quote again <grin>), feel free to fix my typos! LOL

Oh yah... loving it! It's been pouring rain here (Galveston, Texas) for three days so I'm online paying bills and checking email... Lovely Labor Day holiday! <grin>

Here's hoping your's is better!
