HI Kamal,

What kind of images are you trying to show up in the web page. Can you post some sample code of your login page. In the design mode, kindly check if there is a red line below the image url, in that case, the image is not linked correctly in the .aspx page.

If you are using directories and the image is stored in the directory the correct path has to be given. Are you getting a X mark instead of the image, in that case, when the page is loaded, right click on the red X mark, click on properties, and check if the path displayed for the image is in the same place where the image is physically stored. If yes then this is an issue that needs to be checked.

If NO then you have the answer - change the path.

Hope this helps.

Hi KamalRaturi,

Do you see this behavior with the built-in web server? If so, you're probably blocking the users from seeing your images folder. By default, the Login.aspx will be unblocked, even when all access to the site is blocked. However, this is not the case for images so they won't show up. Take a look here for a remedy:

Is that the same scenario for .net 2003? We are just converting to 2005, but have had problems with our images in our .Net 2003/VB application displaying for other users. When we view it from the localhost or the Test Server, we (my associate programmer) can both see all images, but when we demo this app, no one on any other computer the images can not be seen. Will this work in my web.config in .Net 2003?

Normally not.

Requests for images are not passed to ASP.NET and are handled by IIS directly. So, ASP.NET cannot block access to the images.

But why don't you try it out??

Thanks - I will. I doubt that it will help though from what you say. we have gone to the Internet Options on each machine to make sure that viewing images is enabled in IE, but it doesn't seem to work. Well, since we are moving to 2.0, maybe the change to my web.config file will make it work when we are done with the conversion. Thanks again. Coleen

Good luck. Maybe an HTTP debugger like Fiddler may come in handy...
