CDO email - missing characters
Strange problem in sending email using CDO.

Urgent help needed.

Set myMail=CreateObject("CDO.Message")
eText = "aaaaa"
myMail.HTMLBody = eText
set myMail=nothing

"aaaaa" here represents a long string of several thousand characters.

There are two symptoms I've noticed:

1. In my outlook express inbox, the auto-generated email misses out a character (the 1023rd character).
2. The same email in my hotmail inbox does not have a missing character, but has a spurious inserted space withing the message (not sure exactly where, but possibly at position 1023 also).

Both of these scenarios are unacceptable, as my email contains information which MUST be presented absolutely accurately (including username and password details).

This is a very urgent situation. Is this a bug in CDO object?

PLEASE - if you know anything about this, please help me with it urgently. I need to find a solution.

Yes, this is a booster post for this topic, but I am very anxious to resolve this issue quickly. It is crucial for my application.

Surely someone must know something about this?

Obviously, no-one has tried to send long HTML emails before by the CDO email object. I must be the first in the world, which is interesting.

Here is a fix for this problem, that worked for me.

After every few lines (every couple of hundred characters), add this line:

eText = eText & vbCrLf

Where eText is the HTML-formatted string you are creating.
