insert values into an XML in classical asp

hi experts,
i'm new to XML so i hope you could help me on this one.
i'm working with XML files, what i need to do is to call an emty XML and fill in some information into it, like the name, address and all this kind of information, is there a way to insert values to an xml file. i have also a form where the user has to input insert some value, what i need is that when the user finish inserting the information and click on submit, these information he inserted into the form will be saved in the XML.

any help will be appreciated.

thanks

You can tackle this using the DOM API, where you load the skeletal XML into a tree structure and then update it incrementally, or you can tackle it using XSLT, where you define a transformation from the skeletal XML to the completed XML, using the parameter values either as stylesheet parameters or as a secondary input document.

I don't do ASP and I don't do DOM if I can avoid it; but most XML books have a chapter on DOM. In Wrox Professional XML most of the DOM examples are in JavaScript, but it should be fairly easy to translate that into ASP terms.
