max length property of multiline text box
hello to all
i took multiline textbox in my form and sets its max property to say 100. but at run time it is not working as in case of text box.
guide please.

An ASP.NET <asp:textbox> control is rendered in two ways based on the mode:

single line: <input type="text">
multiline: <textarea>

The <textarea> HTML control does not support the maxlength property.

Well this issue has been raised many times, you can use javascript functions to restrict user entering text upto the length specified.


Don't expect too much, too soon.

and check on posting the sting length

well thanks to all
i write javascript function for it to check max length. it is working properly.
