Nested gridviews

Ok, I have spent all day and cannot figure this out.

I have 3 nested gridviews. In the footer rows of the inner-most gridview is a text box. I need to insert text into the text box. The text will come from another control unrelated to the nested gridviews. This is triggered by a button click. The button is also unrelated to the gridviews.

Thanks for any help.

John

And unrelated to the book ASP.NET Instant Results? ;)

If so, can you please post this in one of the other ASP.NET categories here at p2p.wrox.com. If it is related, can you provide chapter / page number and a bit more background?

Yea, sorry wrong place for this post. Not sure where I thought I was. After this post I started looking at Generics and I think that my answer is there. Thanks.
