Request for a C++ book
I've read the 'Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 2013' book and I have found it useful to some extend since I am trying to learn C++. At the moment I am reading 'C++ Primer Plus' by Prata which I find hard to follow in some cases.
My request from wrox people is for a well written pure C++ book that will cover beginners and advanced topics.

You are better off with Wrox Ivor Horton's Beginning C++: The Complete Language.
I recently just purchased Wrox Professional C++ and it is nothing more than restating the basics that you will find in any beginning C++ book. I am so disappointed with Professional C++ that I intend to write the publisher.
There have been many great books that I have purchased from Wrox over the years, Ivor Horton's Beginning C++, Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++, Ivor Horton's Beginning Java2; just to name a few key titles, and I have never been let down until now with Professional C++. In the past I have always recommended books by Wrox and have always felt that "Wrox always delivers the goods," but Professional C++ is without doubt an overstatement of the actual content within its pages.
