Does ASP.net need to access to the temp folder ?
When running ASP.net from Visual Studio in debug mode or without debug mode I get some access denied errors. This has happened ever since my employer decided to prevent any process to run from the temp folder. Does ASP.net need to run processes from the temp folder when running from within Visual Studio ? And if so, is there anyway to re-configure Visual Studio to use a different folder than temp for its purposes ?

I think so as it needs a place to store stuff while compiling.

Not sure if you can reconfigure it but maybe Google knows it.

Odd to lock down the temp folder; can't you get certain processes excluded?

Looking into getting a waiver for my workstation to allow processes to run from the temp folder. I requested all processes to be allowed since i don't have any idea what particular processes to allow. I seem to get all kinds of access denied errors...even when going to the Website proporties page that shows membership information.
