Got confused with another problem I had and neglected to read my first post after forgeting it. I now use a dlookup and that works well.

in the table design, do you have =Now() ...

in the table design, do you have

=Now()

for the default code in the date field?

if it is try using instead:
=Date()

But you want date and time in other forms, reports and what-not's you...
