Default CleanString - Beep?

Hi All

I am sure this is a silly question but ... the help page for the Word VBA CleanString Method refers to removing a 'beep' (Character code 7 - Removed unless preceded by character 13 (paragraph), tehn converted to character 9 (tab)). Please can someone tell me what the 'beep' character is?

Many thanks
Archie

Default

Beep - ASCII Value 0007 corresponds to Bell Character.

You can check the character by typing Alt + 0007 in Word

or

Debug.Print Chr("0007")

using VBA

Cheers
