I had a problem where after making a package in package and deployment wizard and then run the setup on another pc then it installs and runs fine but then I take it to another pc and run the package there and then I get some errors. What I find after searching everywhere is that that pc’s windows update wasn’t up to date and after installing the latest windows updates my problem resolved. I’m a vb newb don’t know if the windows update have anything to do with the errors but it work for me. Is worth a try if all ells is tried.

You can try Windows Installer 1.1 or Wise for specific installation requests. These tools can check for presence of patches etc and can prompt the user for installing them if necessary
