Default Script Component as Destination

Hello,

I'm using a script component as a destination. Regardless, how do I establish a SqlConnection, or is there a better way? I'm trying to use the script component to compare the source rows against the SQL Server database. I setup the connection in ConnectionManager, do I use AcquireConnection method, and if so, does that return SQLConnection?

Thanks.
