Sorry, I havent seen the book you mention
Sorry about that, I meant Ivor Horton's Beginning C++ (ISBN: 186100012X). I'm starting to think Horton's book may not be what I am looking for. If I start learning C++ I'm thinking I should probably find a book that is up-to-date with the latest C++ standard release that stresses using the standard library.

Unfortunately I do not see a beginning C++ book that takes advantage of the WROX forums. The WROX BOOK forums are extremely helpful when learning a new technology as I found when I was learning PHP and MySQL.

Reading the reviews on Amazon has me second guessing if this book is right for me. Many people seem to praise "C++ How to Program (3rd Edition)by Harvey M. Deitel".
