okay . . .
Above isn't logical . . . but you will learn
first in the command prompt type :
c:\documents and settings\owner>cd desktop\programming basics
this takes you to the location of the file
while at this location you need to enter a link to the compiler
the link will tell your computer that hey my compiler is here =P
so in the command prompt then type:
c:\documents and settings\owner\desktop\programming basics>link="c:\borland"
Then when you are still at the location of the source file
Type into the command prompt:
c:\documents and settings\owner\desktop\programming basics>bcc55binbcc template.cpp
You may have to tell the compiler where the library and reference files are. The location of these changes depending on the compiler. Just let me know how this works or if you have any problems.
P.S. To save yourself time you may want to create a batch file to compile it for you so you don't have to enter all that junk into the command prompt every time you want to compile a program =P
If you don't know how to make a batch file just ask.
