Thats a subjective question since what may be desireable to one company may not necessarily be desriable to another.
Here is my opinion though:
On the one hand, if you are looking to become a Web Applications Developer (PHP, PERL, .NET, etc), the Java expereience would compliment your Web Development skills as you would have the know how to create applets or, at the very least, a familiarity with the language so that you could learn how to create applets.
On the other hand, if you are looking to be a platform developer, the C++ would compliment those skills.
