Working my way through "Beginning PHP, Apache, MySQL Web Development" I used it's forum many many times to find answers to why my code didn't work. I am trying to finish chapter four so that I can do a review before moving on. If the "generate_ratings function" had been left out of the code in the book and or in the code files I dare say that someone would have jumped on it and taken care of it in quick order. Guess what, a missing "generate_ratings function" or a missing "thumbsup.gif" have the same end result. The code doesn't work as advertised!
The oldest request I can find for this gif is dated 7/19/04! What is the problem, why can't someone take responsibility for this and make it available so that anal people like myself can get on with their studies?
