Default bookmark a PDF file with Acrobat Reader/OpenOffice

Is there a way to bookmark a PDF file with Acrobat Reader or OpenOffice?

I am converting a .xls to .pdf with OpenOffice Calc, but I am looking for a way to put a bookmark on certain places within the .pdf so that they appear down the left hand pane in Acrobat Reader.

Any help appreciated.
