Default error handling in asp.net e-commerce programming

:( There is a lot of interesting stuff about error handling in the book asp.net e-commerce. But one important thing is missing how is it implemented. I have been through all the code now and I can't find anywhere that the class GWexception, which the book suggest used to handle error storing, is used.
So how does the system catch the errors and get them transferred to either LogError.ErrorLog or GWException. I can't find code for some of the normal cathcing errors methode like using Global.asax, webconfig or server.getlasterror. Please answer or give me a mail address to the author.
