p2p.wrox.com will be shut down Monday Dec 8 at approximately 8:30 a.m. EST for our migration to a new forum system. The down time will last approximately 2 days and we'll be back up early morning US EST on Wednesday Dec 10.
This is our first major upgrade in 4 years and first planned outage in that time, we apologize for any inconvenience during the downtime.
When the new forums return, some of the many new features you'll see include: no 3rd party ads for logged in members, RSS feeds for forum subscriptions, digest subscription options, image avatars for authors and editors, threaded post view, WYSIWYG editor, Ajax functionality for less page reload, optional colored syntax highlighting of your code, authors and editors can attach files to posts, better points system to recognize our most valuable community members, and much more.
We've been working on this for most of 2008 including a month-long private beta with more than 50 authors and frequent posting community members. We hope you'll all like the new site.
