Anything placed in a ["code"] tag is considered "preformatted" and is displayed in a monospace font without wordwrap. This is appropriate functionality for code blocks.

As for your suggestion that the functionality of the Left-Nav be moved- I don't like web sites that try to cram everything in the top-nav of the site.

If you wish to change the size of your reply window, that is done easily by changing the pulldown for "screensize" in the reply window.
