Default Changing format for Dynamic Text .

Hi, i am trying to change the format of the date in Dreamweaver mx 2004. the date is generated via a access database. Using the server behaviour panel then dynamic text dialog box. when i try to change the format to a date format the following ! message is displayed . " [b]Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or translator. The change will be discarded".I press ok and the change is discarded. PS. I am following "Beginning Dreamweaver MX 2004, chap 12, page 425, bullet point 3 (Displaying the Events on events.asp). Thanks for reading i appreciate any repluies. Thank You.

Hi there,

This is probably due to a bug in DW. I mentioned that in the book at a few occasions. However, the Dreamweaver updater to 7.01 fixes most of these issues, so it's recommended to apply the update.

Otherwise, undo your changes, save the file, close and reopen it and try it again. This usually does the trick.

HtH,

Imar
