Default Update table from form

I was wondering if there is a way to update a field in a table from a form without leaving the record. I mean I know it will automatically do it when you move to the next record, but I would like to force it to do it while staying in the same record. Any suggestions? Hopefully, I explained it good enough. Thanks.

Put a button on the form using the Wizard. Select the record operation to save. It will put a button on your form with this code in the ON CLICK event:

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, , acMenuVer70
