Default Refresh Tables

I have an Access DB set up with a Front End & Back End. In the Back End is 7 ODBC Tables, these tables need to be refreshed everyday.

My first question is which is the more efficient method for ODBC - importing the tables or linking the tables?

My second question is can I program Access to refresh the tables everyday at a certain time? - Would I have to use a batch file? I have little to no experience of batch files so if batch files are the best way to do this please be kind! :)

Thanks in advance
Ben

Default

If you link the tables, it links to the live data, if you import them, they then have nothing to do with the backend.

So there's no need to refresh them - unless of course, you're talking about refreshing the list of tables themselves. eg: one day you have these tables:
Order, Products, Customers and the next you have Parts, Orders, Products
which would be a bit trickier to do

Although I doubt that would be the case
